April Ross
April Ross, a beach volleyball player from the United States She is one of a small group of women who have been awarded medals at multiple Olympics. In Tokyo in the coming days she will attempt to net her third medal alongside first-time Olympian Alix Klineman. Ross is determined to earn more than just her first Olympic medal. There is a chance that this is her only chance at winning, as she's 39 old. Nevertheless she is confident that winning the gold medal is at hand. If we do our top or do well, I believe we'll win the gold medal Ross said via NBC Boston. In addition, I'm planning be relying on a little bit of good luck. Ross is born in the year 1982. Costa Mesa California where she lived with her parents as well as a sister. Ross was a competitive athlete in a variety of sports during her time at Newport Harbor High School. As a prep-athlete she played indoor volleyball and track. However she was clearly superior to the rest in this latter game. During her high school career she was a middle blocker outside setter and hitter at the tennis court as per her bio at the college. She was awarded by the Gatorade National Circle of Champions player of the year in 1999 for her achievements. In 2000, the Orange County Athlete of the Month was also received by her due to her volleyball skills. Ross and Klineman have been doing what they do since 2017. But, Ross was an important player in the world of beach volleyball before joining the duo. Actually Ross has won a number of important tournaments throughout her career together with two other partners. One of them is a volleyball legend. Jennifer Kessy coached her from 2007 to 2013. Alongside Kessy Ross, she was a major force on the international circuit winning an international title in 2009. This duo went on to win a silver in the 2012 Olympic Games at London. Misty May, Kerri Walsh and Kerri Jennings were the group to beat out for gold. It was fate that had them. Ross was Walsh Jennings' new partner as May-Treanor stepped down. In 2016, the duo were awarded bronze medals at the Rio Olympics for beach volleyball. Ross participated in the Trojans at USC during her college after graduating from high school. Her time at the school was an impressive one. She was an All-American and Pac-10 Freshman of the Year when she was a teen freshman. In 2000, her Trojans made it to the Final Four. Her sophomore year was the time she experienced a devastating personal loss but still managed to repeat as an All-American. Over her final two years as a player, she led the Trojans to the summit netting consecutive national championships. For her part she established herself as a legend when she won the Honda Sports Award for 2003-04. The award is given to the most outstanding female college volleyball players across the United States. Ross majored at USC in International Relations. Margie Ross did not get to see her daughter's rise to fame as a beach volleyball player. In 2001 when Ross was in her sophomore year at USC her mother died of breast cancer. Ross holds her mother very dearly. Margie, on the beach as well as in her everyday life, inspires her.
