Andrea Elson

Andrea Hope Elson has been an American actor for a long time. Elson started her career in TV as a child model and actress. Her best-known role is Alice Tyler, portrayed by Elson on CBS' science fiction series. Andrea was picked to portray Lynn Tanner in the popular series ALF in 1986. She worked for several years on various television shows and Movies of the week before she decided to retire from the world of entertainment. ALF was a challenging time for Andrea Elson, who played Lynn Tanner, the teenage daughter of Kate and Willie. In a 2000 retrospective in People Elson said developing as an actress of her age in front of an audience that viewed sitcoms was a challenge. When she was in New York City in 1969 Elson grew up into a world that revolved around traveling because her father was a travelling salesman. She had already lived in New York as well as Chicago San Diego and Los Angeles before she turned 10. In San Diego Andrea got an agent, and was able to get the role she attempted to audition for. Fusco said that ALF was a tycoon aged 285 and could drink beer. ALF was becoming more and more popular among children thus NBC informed Fusco not to drink since kids were watching. He's a poor image model. Fusco, who believed ALF was mature enough to drive drunk, wasn't right. In 1995, Fusco was diagnosed with lymphoma. This was successfully managed and the disease remained in remission through the year the year 2019. On June 26, 2019 aged 75, he passed away from his illness in the Lillian Booth Actors Home located in Englewood in New Jersey.
