Amy Smart is a former American actress and model. Amy Smart was born and raised in California USA began her modelling in Italy. Her Costly Affair, a 1996 TV film which was her first film role. Following a long and difficult battle, she landed a role as "Starship Troopers" the film Starship Troopers. It was difficult for her to transition to acting as actors were never considered skilled actors and generally were offered small roles. Amy was determined to keep trying. She made her way to greater roles, starting with The 70s series and Varsity Blues film. Then she stepped into lead roles in the 2005 romantic comedy Just Friends which also starred Ryan Reynolds. Amy found her recognition after more than ten years of trying. She did some big films within the Crank trilogy opposite Jason Statham. And she had a part in a series of recurring roles on the Shameless series.
