Amy Smart is a former American model and actor. Amy Smart was born and brought up in California, America. Amy Smart started the modeling profession in Italy. Her Costly Affair, a 1996 TV film, was her first part. From there to starring in a minor role in the movie Starship Troopers she struggled very for a long time. It was difficult for her to transition to acting because models weren't considered good actors, and they generally were offered small parts. Amy was determined to succeed and eventually she was offered bigger roles starting with The 70s, the movie Varsity Blues. The romantic comedy Just Friends, which also had Ryan Reynolds, saw her take on larger role. Amy finally got the recognition she'd been looking for for over a decade. She continued to do major films, such as Crank alongside Jason Statham or Shameless in which she was a beloved recurring character.
