She is famous for her character of Jane Kerkovich Williams in ABC's comedy show Happy Endings, Denise Mahoney and Hannah Wyland on Quantico. In 2022 she played a lead role in Fox's comedy Pivoting. She most recently was as a supporting character on the Netflix series Murderville episode-Who killed Santa. Coupe studied improvisational comedy at The Groundlings as well as ImprovOlympic. [6] Coupe toured France in 2003 as a soldier in an all-female King Lear version. Her one-woman show, The Patriots, premiered in New York's Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre on November 5th in 2005. The show was awarded the Breakout Performer Award from HBO's U.S. Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen, Colorado in March 2006. Coupe was married from December 2007 until June 2013 to Randall Whittinghill (acting teacher, puppeteer). She announced her engagement to Darin Oliveren via Instagram on November 27 the 27th of November, 2014. They were vacationing in New Zealand when they got married on December 24, 2014. In the year 2018 they filed for divorce. Between April 2011 and May 2013, Coupe was an actor in ABC's ensemble comedy show Happy Endings, along with Zachary Knighton (Adam Pally), Damon Wayans Jr., Casey Wilson, and Zachary Knighton. The show was canceled by ABC on May 3, 2013, in spite of the critical acclaim. The show also earned an unofficial following. Happy Endings was cancelled. She appeared in a regular role in House of Lies's third season and also appeared alongside Jay Harrington in Benched, a comedy series on the USA Network that premiered on October 28 in 2014. Later, she starred as Hannah Wyland, the FBI agent in the ABC series Quantico on ABC.
